My Project
I teach an incredible group of Pre-K students on the autism spectrum who thrive in a structured and supportive learning environment. Each of my students has unique strengths, challenges, and sensory needs. They are bright, curious, and eager to learn, but they sometimes struggle with distractions and overstimulation in our shared classroom space. Creating a calm, predictable environment is key to helping them feel safe and ready to learn.
To better support my students, I am requesting a room divider to create designated learning areas within our classroom.
These dividers will help minimize visual distractions, reduce sensory overload, and provide quiet, individualized spaces where students can focus. With these dividers, I can create flexible learning zones tailored to my students’ needs. Some students require a quiet area to complete independent work, while others benefit from structured small-group instruction. The ability to create separate, distraction-free spaces will help all my students stay engaged and feel more comfortable in our classroom.
By providing structure and reducing sensory overload, these room dividers will help my students stay focused, regulate their emotions, and engage more effectively in learning activities. This project will create a more inclusive, supportive, and sensory-friendly classroom where my students can thrive.
