My Project
Creating a calm and supportive classroom environment is essential for the success of my special education students, many of whom experience sensory sensitivities, anxiety, and difficulty with self-regulation. Flexible seating and a soft rug will provide my students comfortable, safe spaces to learn, decompress, and refocus. These materials will help reduce sensory overload and support movement breaks without leaving the classroom, crucial for maintaining a consistent and structured routine. By offering a variety of seating choices and a cozy rug area, I can better meet my students' diverse physical and emotional needs, enhancing their ability to engage with lessons, build positive relationships, and thrive both academically and socially.
