Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I truly love my students and want them to walk into a classroom that feels safe, welcoming, and full of opportunities to grow. Many of them face challenges outside of school, so it’s important that our classroom is not only a place to learn but also a space where they can feel calm, cared for, and excited about what we are learning together. Each item in this project is chosen with their emotional and academic needs in mind:

Teachers Pay Teachers Gift Card: I will use this to purchase creative Texas History lessons and activities that make Social Studies come alive and help every student see themselves in what we study.

Recaceik Bean Bag Chair and Books on Respect/Diversity: These will create a calming corner where students can take a break, self‑regulate, and reflect through stories that teach empathy and kindness.

Caddies for Group Supplies: Having organized materials will let students easily access what they need, work together, and take responsibility for keeping our space clean and ready to learn.

Whiteboard Markers: These will allow students to actively participate during whole‑class lessons and small‑group discussions, making learning more interactive and fun.

Borders and Stickers for Our Room and Door: Bright, cheerful decorations will transform our classroom into a welcoming space that celebrates student achievements and helps them feel proud of where they belong.

Every single resource will help me show my students how much they matter — not just as learners, but as people. With your help, I can create a space where they feel loved, supported, and motivated to do their very best.
