This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Hello I am a brand new school counselor in a K-8 school. I currently serve a caseload of about 650 K-8 students as we only have 2 counselors myself included.

I have been able to create a somewhat calming space within my office but I need help to create the best possible environment for my students to reset.

By providing me with a bean bag chair, TPT gift card, and social emotional regulation books and tools I can provide my students with the emotional reset and resilience they need to regulate and be successful in the classroom. I am in desperate need of psychoeducational materials and flexible seating for my office as well as a variety of social emotional tools to provide students a variety of sensory reset options. Funding my project would allow me to be a better care giver while also helping to support my students emotional needs.
