This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I absolutely love how my students bring so much energy, curiosity, and unique perspectives to our classroom every day. They are eager to learn but sometimes need extra support to stay focused and calm, especially when tasks feel challenging or overwhelming.

The room dividers will help by creating quiet, distraction-free spaces where students can concentrate during small group work or independent tasks.

This physical separation allows them to feel more secure and focused.

The sensory tools, like the liquid motion timers, color-changing putty, and fidget toys, are wonderful for helping students self-regulate their emotions and energy levels. When they use these tools, they’re better able to calm their minds, reduce anxiety, and maintain attention, which means they can fully engage with their learning.

Together, these resources will create a classroom environment that supports every student’s ability to focus, feel comfortable, and succeed.
