My Project
I am determined to make this year a year to remember. Every month I celebrate my students accomplishments with an award celebration. Preschoolers are sponges and are able to pick up new concepts quickly. Every month I pick one or two things for each child that they learned and give them a certificate with a handwritten note on the back about why I am so proud of them. I then call each child up to receive their award and give them "smarty" beads or a bracelet as a small token for all of their hard work. When they go home they share the certificate with their families and if they forget why they earned their rewards their parents can turn the certificate over and read what they accomplished. I love doing this but my supplies are running out.
This project will enable me to supply my students with certificates, "smarty beads" and bracelets.
It will also help to replenish some art supplies that we are running low on.
My main objective in PreK is to have students who love school and want to learn. By providing them with certificates and rewards I am hoping to encourage them to keep working hard. Creating art is an exciting time in our day. We have small group art projects that we work on daily and I have an art center in the room that the children can choose during choice time. Our supplies need to be replenished to help keep their creativity flowing. I am hoping that my children's time in preschool will end up being memories that will last a lifetime.
