Creating an Inviting 5th grade Classroom

My Project

This is my second year teaching upper elementary. Most of my supplies are from my time in lower elementary. The classroom I inherited has a lot of supplies from the 90s. I am trying to create a welcoming and warm classroom for my 5th graders as they complete their final year of elementary school. The cushion seats would allow my students to have flexible seating choices to help all types of learners in my class. The mailboxes will be for each student to have their own mailbox where I can put important flyers for home, graded work, etc. the book series will help to add more to my ever growing collection in my library. The carpet will help bring some fresh color into the room. The current carpet is from the 90s and is ready for retirement. The new rug will allow a central meeting zone for my students. The rug will also offer students a place to read and work with partners. I do not have a soccer ball and the students at my school are all huge soccer fans. This soccer ball will get plenty of play at recess daily. By supporting my classroom, you are helping bring my room into the new century and to help me create the best learning environment for my students.
