This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This year, our focus on social-emotional learning and adaptive seating promises transformative benefits for all our students, particularly those who are non-speaking. With a significant portion of our student body navigating challenges in expressing emotions, the resources dedicated to understanding and articulating feelings will be invaluable. By providing tools that facilitate emotional exploration and communication, we empower them to engage more fully with their peers and surroundings. Additionally, the implementation of adaptive seating addresses the diverse mobility needs of our students, ensuring comfort and accessibility for all. Many of our current chairs do not adequately support students with mobility issues, hindering their participation and comfort in the classroom. The introduction of new seating options promises to create a more inclusive and conducive learning environment where every student can thrive.
