This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are some of the most determined, creative, and inspiring individuals you will ever meet. They come to school each day ready to tackle challenges with courage, curiosity, and resilience. Despite the barriers they face, they show endless potential when given the right tools and opportunities. Their excitement when they accomplish something new — no matter how big or small — is contagious and reminds me daily why inclusive education matters so deeply.

The 3D printer and specialized filaments will allow us to create customized supports tailored to each student’s individual needs.

From sensory chewies that help students stay calm and focused, to flexible fidgets that build attention and fine motor skills, to adaptive tools that foster independence — these resources will open up new ways for our students to access learning. Instead of trying to fit students into one-size-fits-all solutions, we will design materials that fit them.

By empowering students with the right supports, we’re not just helping them learn — we’re helping them believe in their abilities, engage more deeply in their education, and build confidence that carries far beyond the classroom.
