My Students

My 4th graders are ready to end the boring and bring the AWESOME! Kid President's Pep Talk challenge has been taken to heart by my students and I am now in a pursuit to honor that cry! Time to bring the technology to challenge and motivate my students to new heights.

I am fortunate to work with a truly amazing group of 4th graders (9-10 year olds) most of whom live in poverty.

My students are highly diverse group of children who bring their rich cultural experience into the classroom. These children have faced more challenges in their young lives than most adults that I know, yet they come willing to learn and strive for success. Unfortunately, many of my students have very limited access to technology. This is disheartening for me as an educator since these children will be expected to be competent in our technology driven world.

My Project

Having an iPad in our classroom will give my students the opportunity to learn how to use technology, use it safely, and also excel their learning through the amazing apps and programs out there! My goal is to provide students the opportunity to generate projects such as Prezis and iMovies. These types of projects not only help students to organize information, but also how to present it in a meaningful way to others.

Technology is undeniably a critical part of today's world.

By giving to my students, you will directly positively impact their education in a huge way. You will help prepare them to participate as productive and successful members of society!
