Creating a Sensory-Friendly Classroom for Focus and Calm
Help me give my students sensory tools for physical movement and emotional regulation, including a mini trampoline, sensory swing, outdoor saucer swing, and weighted lap pads to support focus, calming, and social interaction in the classroom.

My Project
I absolutely love how unique and inspiring my students are. Each one brings their own strengths and challenges to the classroom, and their resilience and determination to learn are truly remarkable. Many of my students have autism and sensory processing needs, which means they thrive with the right sensory tools and physical activities to help them focus, self-regulate, and engage in learning.
The mini trampoline will provide an outlet for my students to release energy in a controlled and safe way, helping them stay focused during lessons.
The sensory swing will offer calming input, which is essential for students who struggle with emotional regulation. The outdoor saucer swing will encourage social interaction and teamwork, giving my students a fun way to build social skills. Finally, the weighted lap pads will provide deep touch pressure, helping my students stay grounded and calm during seatwork, allowing them to focus better on tasks.
Each of these resources is a key tool to help my students feel more comfortable, engaged, and ready to learn!
