This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These books and materials are requested to advance our library collection as well as make quality books more accessible for our students. The book display will allow younger kids to access current books easily. The diverse titles requested will allow students to see themselves and others in the books they read creating a sense of belonging in our school.

We have a lot of new immigrant students and some of the books requested help them feel welcome and help the other students learn about their journey to the US and to our school.
