This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This year, I’ll be teaching 4th-grade English Language Arts and Social Studies at a transformation school, where our mission is to close learning gaps and create opportunities for all students. My students come from diverse backgrounds, and many face challenges that extend beyond the classroom. They are bright, curious, and resilient, and they deserve a learning environment that reflects their potential.

To support their growth, I’m seeking help to stock our classroom with the essential tools they need to succeed:

Basic classroom supplies like pencils, markers, and sanitary items to ensure every student can participate fully without worry.

A calming corner with sensory tools and seating to help students self-regulate and build emotional resilience.

A classroom printer to allow immediate access to individualized materials, parent communication, and engaging, hands-on resources.

A diverse collection of books to inspire a love of reading, reflect our students’ identities, and build essential literacy skills.
