My Project

As a first-year teacher, I’m incredibly excited to begin this journey after several years of working as a paraprofessional. This fall, I’ll be leading a self-contained classroom of amazing 1st and 2nd grade students with a wide range of exceptionalities. My goal is to create a space where every child feels safe, supported, and ready to learn each day.

Right now, I don’t have the budget to provide everything my students will need to thrive, but I’m committed to building a classroom that meets their unique needs.

It would mean so much to have a small table and chair set for flexible group work. This simple item can make a powerful impact by supporting student collaboration, structure, and comfort in our daily routines.

Although I haven’t met my students yet, I know they’ll come with their own strengths, challenges, and incredible potential. I’m preparing a classroom where they can feel safe, supported, and celebrated. Based on my experience, I know that with the right tools and environment, students can develop the confidence and joy that make learning meaningful.
