Creating a Safe Space in a Difficult Time

Help me give my students some flexible seating options. Because tables take up a lot of space, I will need the Chromebook cart to help me make enough room for all of our flexible seating options!

My Students

My little class is a group of strong, resilient, hard workers, despite the challenges of this year and the years that preceded this year. The students come to school each day with a great eagerness to learn and to learn as much as they can.

However, they definitely feel the heaviness of the pandemic and have felt isolated from each other.

My Project

Students have struggled with feeling isolated even while in the classroom.

Having spaced desks, although for good reason, keeps our students away from each other and it can make school a lonely place.

We need table space that will be great for group work to help mend the isolation that is felt. That is why this flower table would be great for our classroom. It also adds a fun look to the classroom that I think my students will love.

The cushioned seats provide students with a comfortable place to learn and gives them choice where they would like to sit. This will provide a safe learning environment for students, even in this difficult time.

The Chromebook cart will help us condense room in our classroom to ensure we have enough space to have our many seating options and give us a nice, organized look to our classroom.
