This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My goal as a teacher is to establish a home away from home in my room. I refuse to call it a classroom; it's more of a creative chaos zone. I want my students to feel this emotion every day as they come into my room. I take pleasure in creating a positive, comfortable space for my kids to learn and feel safe in. Having a flexible classroom in which my students can learn is my ultimate goal.

My kids inspire me to do a better job each day, and I do my best to ensure they are safe, understood, and cared for every time they step into my classroom.

Their inquisitive energy is contagious, and I find myself constantly adapting and changing the way I teach, the way the room is set up, and how I want the environment of my room to feel each day.

My Project

After the tumultuous year and half, we are all back in the classroom. We are all doing our best to create safe yet positive environments for our kiddos in our rooms. Clorox and paper towels are a must to wipe down all surfaces. Since our water fountains are closed, students would use the cups to use with the new water dispensers.

After the isolation of last year, it is important to celebrate any and all victories!

Students will be rewarded with a sweet treat for their hard work, their effort, and honestly, their willingness to participate!
