Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I absolutely love how resilient, creative, and unique each of my students is. Every day, they show up carrying so much more than just backpacks. They carry big feelings, big stories, and so much potential. As a school social worker, I get to be a safe person and create a safe space where they can pause, reset, and build the tools they need to thrive.

Each resource, such as Kinetic Sand, Happy or Not Board Game, and Social Emotional Learning Activities Sensory Toys, in this project will help me turn my office into a calming, welcoming environment where students feel seen and supported.

Fidget tools and sensory items help students regulate their emotions. Books help children identify with storytellers.
