My Project

Hello! My name is Mrs. Lospalluto, and I am a dedicated special education teacher in Monticello, NY. This September, I will be transitioning from teaching 3rd grade inclusion to leading a 4th/5th grade 12:1:1 classroom. While I am incredibly excited to meet my new students, I am also facing a significant challenge: starting from scratch.

Our school is a Title I school, and many of my students come from low-income households where resources are limited.

I’ve always invested in my classroom to ensure students have what they need to thrive—whether it’s calming tools, flexible seating, or hands-on learning materials. Unfortunately, I now find myself without the essential resources to create an environment that supports the unique needs of my 4th and 5th-grade learners.

My goal is to create a classroom where students feel safe, supported, and empowered. A space that fosters both emotional well-being and academic growth. My students often face challenges beyond the classroom, and it’s my mission to make school a place where they feel valued, understood, and capable.

Your support would allow me to provide flexible seating options to accommodate sensory needs, calming tools for emotional regulation, and engaging math and literacy resources to boost academic confidence. Additionally, having the right materials to build a structured and welcoming environment will help me create routines that nurture both independence and collaboration.
