it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am a NYC teacher working in a Title I school located in Queens, where every student receives free breakfast and lunch. I teach 32 creative children, mostly ESL, and they are all ready and eager to learn for this school year. My class of 4th graders come from diverse backgrounds with mixed abilities, and varied interests. I'm eager to help them grow and succeed in every way. My goal is to provide a great education for my wonderful students and help develop each child's unique talent and celebrate their individuality.
My Project
Imagine my students walking into the classroom with an updated and cheerful reading library. Currently, we need a special way to organize and separate our books. We need more baskets for the growing readers. Giving us new baskets will help the students build independence and responsibility by creating a system where they can obtain books easily and know where to return them. We will really appreciate any help you can give to get our project funded. These children are very important to me and I look forward to helping them grow and reach their potential each and every day. You will make a big difference in our lives!
