My Students

My students are a very social and energetic group of learners who love to learn about the world through science. Observing, asking questions, and sharing ideas with each other is always a great time for them. They love opportunities to use their creativity in the classroom to test and explore ideas shared. Hands on activities that allow for them to see and touch is of course a favorite and very helpful.

My young leaders of tomorrow attend a neighborhood school where students are all in walking distance of the school.

It is in a low income area that affects the resources they have to work with. We utilize the resources at school as best as possible and recognize our students may not always have those resources at home.

An essential resource we have been able to provide students is access to books. Even though many of my students have significant challenges with reading, they regularly use the resources we provide to read. One of my favorites is to watch them take a classroom library book out to recess.

My Project

These books will be a very welcomed addition to the classroom. My students love books every year, which I appreciate and love to support. I look for ways to keep this desire for words and stories alive. No matter the level of reader, I look for books that will support my students vocabulary development and desire to learn new things. By supporting this project, you will help me to keep my readers reading new adventures and inspiration. I know they will be excited to get their hands on these books.
