Creating a Flexible, Independent, & Comfortable Classroom!

Help me give my students a comfortable and flexible classroom so their leaning environment can adapt to their needs!

My Project

The goal of this project is to start the year strong with resources that will allow students to work all around the room! A new, colorful carpet will give students a space to come together comfortably! It will be the center of our morning meetings, whole group instruction, and independent work!

Resources for flexible seating give students choice and help them take control of their own learning!

Whiteboards & clipboards allow students to move around the room, work in small groups, work on the carpet, standing, or at a table. Chair bands will help students get additional wiggles out when they are seated, helping them to stay focused and on-task.

The social-emotional learning resources will help students in recognizing their emotions and how to help regulate those emotions. Magna-tiles & legos are a great screen-free option for breaks and indoor recess. We will also use these for STEM activities, community building, and inspiration for writing prompts.

Altogether, the hope with all of these resources is to create student-centered classroom where students have the ability to take control of their own learning, their emotions, and their environment!
