Creating a Distracted Student Toolkit

Help me give my students the tools they need to be productive and present in class by using figet toys, coloring sheets, and sensory items to help them focus.

My Project

I work at a public charter middle school in Oklahoma where we have a high volume of students who deal with mental health issues which hinder their learning experience at school. Our students’ most important years that set the base for education was during the pandemic. We have students who are just now attending an in-person school and not every student has the skillset to deal with all that comes with middle school.

I am doing this project to help my students gain the tools they need to be able to be productive and attentive in class, and also to let them have a calming place to talk about hard things or just to take a moment to reset.

I still feel like Covid has affected our kids so many in academic, social, and emotional ways. A lot of our students struggle to keep their attention on their teacher/s or tasks, and the 4 Product Bundle Fidget Favorites, various sensory items, and coloring books will help them keep on task in class. My office currently has two old, uncomfortable chairs and a broken couch. The kids have been begging me for more, comfortable, seating so the Flash Furniture Cotton Twill Small Dot Kids Bean Bag Chair will fulfill that need for them.
