Creating a Connected Drawing Class

Help me give my students the proper equipment to practice their drawing skills and make my room more of an art room!

My Students

The students at our High School are some of the most polite students I have taught. They come from a variety of backgrounds, creating a very diverse group of students. Many have not had the opportunity to create art at all in their past and this class provides a chance for them to learn the art of drawing, art from different cultures and the community. Art also plays a crucial role in providing a place where students can express themselves. This is particularly helpful for those students whose primary language is not English.

My Project

The materials here are essential for students to use to better their skills as artists! All of these models and skeletons teach the importance of drawing from life and encourage students to work on their hand eye coordination. The objects listed here are universally familiar objects, connecting students of all backgrounds.

In addition, these manikins will add to the atmosphere of the drawing classroom, formerly a drafting room, which is in dire need of materials, tools and color!

I am a strong believer that the atmosphere of a drawing room is critical in producing artists!
