This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students' resilience and determination inspire me daily. Despite personal and community safety challenges, they persevere, making a safe, welcoming space essential. I aim to create an inviting counseling office where they can openly express themselves. Yet, with only two mismatching chairs, the space falls short of the comfort they deserve. I want my office to reflect the respect and care that matches their incredible spirit.

The couch selected serves a few different purposes.

They will be used to meet and conference with students where they can feel more at ease. And also for a space to escape and relax when experiencing high emotions. The chairs will enhance the space to provide an inviting counseling office space.
