Creating a Comfortable Classroom for Learning

Help me give my students a classroom they feel comfortable in! This area rug will bring color to the room, and soften the harsh sounds. Other items will help keep the room clean and provide for students' needs.

My Project

When students feel cared for in a classroom, they are more motivated to learn. That is why this year I want to elevate my classroom setup to ensure that students are eager to come to class every day, and feel comfortable in the room so that they can focus on their academic and emotional growth.

An area rug can dramatically improve the feeling of a room by providing color and softening harsh sounds.

The essential oil diffuser can transform the classroom from just another cold space into a place that is inviting and where students feel cared for. Pencils and highlighters are crucial for students to complete their assignments, and it is important that students who cannot afford school supplies are not held back from their classwork. The classroom does not yet have a clock, and this digital clock and date display allows students to check the date and time without using their phone. Quality cleaning supplies enable me to clean the room efficiently between classes so that each new class enters a room that feels cared for safe and helps keep everyone healthy.

My students are brilliant and excited to learn--a comfortable, welcoming room can make a world of difference in empowering students to achieve academically and socially.
