This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are definitely a unique, bright, and funny bunch. They are eager to learn and know that the sky is the limit. The school I work in has a diverse student population considering it is a school of choice and any family can apply regardless of their location and it is tuition free.

I strive to have the best resources within my classroom in order for students to experience higher-order/critical thinking and have them take control of their learning as I become merely a facilitator.

I am trying to have students enjoy learning and follow through on inquires with confidence and determination.

My Project

A lot of the items in this cart would be used to create a safe and clutter-free learning environment. By having the items in the shopping cart purchased students will be allowed to store supplies in appropriate areas, have a library that they feel safe and attracted to going, have a space where they are able to work in small groups within the classroom, and have access to more books.

By having these items in the classroom students will have a working environment in which they have space to let loose and be able to clear their mind because it will be clutter free and inviting.

The bookcase storage will be used to store books that parents have donated to the classroom library. With the bookcase, students will be able to view which books sparks their interest because it will be neatly organized by reading level and genre. The bean bag chair will also serve as creating a welcoming classroom library because it will attract students to go there and read.

As of now, my classroom does not have any storage cabinets or closets. Using the storage container in the list, I will be able to store student supplies in the bin, allowing for the classroom to be open and welcoming for more activities like centers to take place.
