Creating a Clean, Comfortable Learning Space for Growing Minds

Help me give my students a space that’s stable, clean, and conducive to learning. A new rug, tissues, and cleaning supplies will provide a clean, soft, and organized space for reading and math instruction, propelling our learners forward!

My Project

My students are bright, resilient, and eager to learn, despite facing daily challenges that many others never have to confront. They attend school in a high-poverty district where resources are limited, and our classroom environment struggles to meet basic standards. Even with holes in the floor tile, old materials, and inconsistent cleaning, they come ready each day to engage in reading, writing, and solving math problems.

They deserve a space that matches their determination—a place where they can focus, feel safe, and truly thrive.

This project will help provide a large classroom carpet, cleaning supplies, and tissues—simple yet critical items that will dramatically improve our learning environment. The carpet will give us a clean, soft, and organized space for small-group reading instruction, math games, and community-building activities. Cleaning supplies such as disinfectant wipes and paper towels will help us maintain a healthier, more dignified classroom. And, tissues are always in demand. When students are sick or uncomfortable, they can’t focus on decoding a paragraph or practicing math fluency. A simple tissue can make a big difference in showing them they’re cared for.

Many of my students face instability outside of school. Inside our classroom, I want to offer them a space that’s stable, clean, and conducive to learning. These basic items will help reduce distractions and promote focus during critical literacy and math instruction, foundations that will shape their futures.
