My Project

My first grade students are curious, creative, and full of energy. They come to school each day eager to learn, explore, and connect. What makes them truly special is their enthusiasm for new experiences and their growing sense of independence and community. They thrive in environments that are warm, structured, and engaging—where they feel seen, supported, and ready to take academic risks.

A classroom rug and easel are more than just furniture—they are key components in building that kind of environment.

The rug will create a welcoming space for our class to come together for morning meetings, story time, and whole-group instruction. It helps foster a sense of belonging and provides a consistent spot for shared learning.

The easel will support daily instruction in reading and writing by allowing me to model strategies, display anchor charts, and involve students in interactive lessons. It brings learning to eye level and keeps it active and accessible.

The goal of this project is to create a classroom where students feel at home, learning is visible, and every child has the space and tools they need to succeed. With your help, we can build a strong foundation for a year full of growth and joy.
