Creating a Classroom Kitchen for Students with Special Needs

My Project
I have the privilege of teaching the greatest group of students in the school. My classroom consists of mid- to high-functioning students with developmental disabilities and learning disabilities. Every day we have a Life Skills class and cooking is a part of our class. We do not have our own class kitchen and are limited to very few recipes with what we do have.
My students are ready and excited to expand into more complicated and practical recipes made in their own classroom.
My classroom is set in an old computer lab with no ability to add a stove. We have an baking oven available already, but we need the burners to practice stove top cooking. We plan to use the pots, pans, and cookie sheets to make meals such as pasta dishes, personal pizzas, sauces, and more. We have plenty of cupboard space, just waiting to be filled with cooking materials. Our counter space is ready for mixing, frying, and sauteing to commence. Please consider helping our class learn this essential life skill and, hopefully, surprise their parents with their skills.
