My Project

A classroom rug is an essential component in creating a welcoming and inclusive learning environment, especially during read-alouds and morning meetings. These daily routines are critical opportunities to build classroom community, promote student engagement, and establish a sense of structure and belonging.

Having a rug provides a designated gathering space that fosters a sense of unity and shared experience.

In addition, the rug supports classroom management by creating a consistent, organized location for transitions and whole-group instruction. It also enhances student comfort and focus, which are crucial for attention and meaningful engagement during read-alouds and discussions.

Investing in a rug is more than adding a piece of furniture - it's an intentional step toward nurturing a strong, connected classroom culture where every student feels like they belong.
