My Project

I work with a group of amazingly smart, innovative, and empathetic 4th graders. Covid flipped everyone's world upside down the past couple of years and these kids have had to learn and adapt to so many new things.

I am lucky in my class that I get to focus on building relationships, social-emotional learning, along with teaching them history.

The social-emotional piece has been extremely important for these kids because they missed out on interactions for so long and had to learn to interact behind a mask.

I feel lucky that I get to be the person that helps guide them through empathy, problem-solving, relationships, and friendships.
