Creating a Captive Audience

Help me give my students engaging reading material to actively engage in reading!

My Project

These books will excite my students in a captive novel that increases their love and appreciation of reading. Patrick Carman does an outstanding job of providing texts to young adults that easily captivates kids into loving reading because the text is built around a mystery and is highly engaging.

With my small group of students, we will be breaking down the novel into all the literary elements to thoroughly have them appreciate the literature.

The students will be given their own novel to give them ownership of the literature which will allow them to highlight in their novel and sprinkle thoughtful thinking post-it notes throughout!
