Creating a Calming Sensory Room for Students with Special Needs
Help me give my students tools for regulation! My school was donated a swing, however we need mats and sandbags to keep students safe. The rest of the items on the list will help create a sensory space.

My Project
Students with special needs often face challenges with sensory processing, focus, and emotional regulation throughout the school day. For my project I am going to to create a sensory room.
A sensory room provides a safe and calming space where they can reset and self-regulate.
This project will support the creation of a sensory room filled with tools like soft lighting, items to make our swing safer, and calming area. These resources will help students manage their sensory needs, reduce anxiety, and improve readiness to learn.
