This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I absolutely love my students for their resilience, creativity, and determination. Despite facing various challenges both in and out of school, they show up every day ready to learn and grow. What makes them truly special is their ability to support one another, turning our classroom into a close-knit community where everyone is valued.
The resources I'm requesting will create a much-needed calming corner in our classroom, a space where students can take a break when they feel overwhelmed.
The books on emotions and stress will give them tools to understand and manage their feelings, building their emotional intelligence. Fidget toys will provide a tactile outlet for stress, helping them focus better during lessons. Board games will encourage social interaction and teamwork, while also offering a fun way to unwind. The bean bags will make the corner a comfortable space, inviting students to relax and recharge.
My goal for this project is to provide my students with a safe, supportive environment where they can learn to cope with stress and emotions effectively. By giving them these resources, I hope to foster their well-being, which in turn will enhance their ability to focus, participate, and succeed academically.
