Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our goal is to create a calming center to provide a safe, relaxing space for our students with autism. This center will help students manage stress, improve focus, and regulate emotions, allowing them to thrive both academically and socially.

We are requesting comfortable seating and a rug to create a cozy space where students can relax and feel secure, lava lamps to provide soothing visual stimulation and promote a sense of calm, and books to encourage quiet reading and self-regulation during sensory breaks.

Many of our students experience sensory sensitivities and emotional challenges that make it difficult to stay engaged in the classroom. A dedicated calming space will give them a place to reset, helping them return to learning feeling refreshed and ready.

Your support will help us create a nurturing environment where our students can feel safe, supported, and empowered to succeed. Thank you for considering our project!
