My Project

Creating a calm, structured classroom is essential for supporting children with autism, as it provides the predictability and security they need to thrive. Many children on the autism spectrum experience heightened sensitivity to sensory input and struggle with unexpected changes or chaotic environments. A well-organized space with clear routines, visual schedules, and defined areas for different activities helps reduce anxiety, support self-regulation, and promote independence. Calm lighting, minimal clutter, and consistent classroom expectations can also minimize sensory overload and behavioral challenges. By intentionally designing a supportive environment, I can create a space where children with autism feel safe, understood, and ready to engage in learning.
