Creating a Calm and Caring Classroom

Help me give my students fidget toys, healthy snacks, and calming strips to help them manage anxiety, stay focused, and develop emotional regulation skills as part of our social-emotional learning and mental health lessons in health class.

My Project

I love my students because they show up every day with curiosity, resilience, and a genuine desire to grow, even when middle school life feels overwhelming.

They are navigating big emotions, social pressures, and academic challenges all at once.

As their health teacher, I want to give them tools that not only support their learning but also their emotional well-being.

Calming strips, healthy snacks, and fidget toys can help students feel more regulated, focused, and safe in the classroom. These tools will remind them that their mental health matters—and that they are supported, seen, and capable of thriving.
