Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My first graders are a diverse group of learners. They love to collaborate and learn in interactive ways, whether that be with the teacher, with a group of other students, or by interacting with technology.

Most of the students in my class come from low-income​ households and do not have access to technology in their homes.

Because of this, they look forward to and are motivated by any chance they have to use and interact with technology in the classroom.

My Project

My students will use these Bee-Bots to practice basic programming skills that will help to get them ready for an increasingly technological world.

My students will love using the Bee-Bots to help them learn directionality, problem solving, estimating and sequencing.

They will work together to read and write simple code to make their Bee-Bots move on a grid, through mazes, etc.

These Bee-Bots will also be used to help make math and literacy centers exciting and interactive. Students can solve a problem and direct their Bee-Bots to move to the correct answer on the grid.
