Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Studies have shown that overhead fluorescent lighting can cause migraines and headaches for students. I hope to create a more learning-friendly environment with atmospheric lighting using table and floor lamps that don't shine directly onto the students. These lamps and lighting will be bright enough to see what we are doing, while also allowing a more relaxing and soothing environment to learn and work in.
Lamps in the classroom will allow students to work in an environment that isn't overly bright while still giving them the means to work effectively!
My goals for this project are to engage students in a calming environment during work days, while offering them the option to use lamps at their tables as well.
