Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My gardening requested items will help my students understand science, biology and environment concepts through real world observation.
Students will learn how to measure soil, track plant growth, journal on the process and study the plant life cycle.
Some of my goals for this project is to get my garden club students to get moving and working with their hands, to grow their own food, which may inspire them to eat healthier and develop a good eating habit.
Gardening teaches responsibility and patience. my students will learn to tender plants, and wait for it to grow and mature(delayed gratification)
