This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
For most of my students, this is their first experience being away from home and being separated from their families. Being away from home is difficult for most students, but compounded with the pandemic, it can be a traumatic experience.
My students come to school each day, full of energy, curiosity, excited to be here, and ready to learn and play!
To them, school is a place where they feel safe, loved, and valued. This difficult transition is also affected by their already existing life circumstances.
100% of our children receive free breakfast and lunch. I believe that every student can learn, grow, and master educational skills to be successful. I am so blessed to have students who are passionate about school and excited to learn.

My Project
The laptop will help our students to learn in a world where technology is part of everyday learning. This laptop would make a world of a difference to my students. They will be using the laptop every day during their technology center as a way to reinforce what we are learning in class.
The laptop will allow students an opportunity to practice a multitude of skills at their level through the usage of latest technology.
On the laptop the students can play number sense and alphabet games, view science videos, use phonics apps and work on Imagine Espanol, Imagine Math, Imagine Literacy & Reflex Math and StarFall.
This laptop would be extremely beneficial for all students and will allow differentiation, so they can work at their own pace and achieve their own personal goals.
