This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Like many of us around the country, we were teaching virtually last school year. This school year it's time to try and get back to some normal. This school year I am working with students that are struggling in language arts. They need a lot of small group instruction, hands-on materials, and lots of repetition. I know my students are capable of doing their best as long as they have the right tools to learn this school year.

My Project

Sometimes we forget how important is for children to experience the process of creating and the role playing games is in a child’s life. This quote always comes to mind when I decide on how I will teach a new concept to my students. “Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn” -Benjamin Franklin By allowing my students to create and play during our lessons not only will they will remember but they will learn what they are being taught.

Therefore, “PLAY gives children a chance to practice what they are learning.” -Mr Rogers By having a Cricut machine in our classroom it will allow my students to have games that focus on a specific skill that they need to practice what they are learning.

This machine will give our classroom many opportunities to become creative when it comes to designing materials for our class.
