Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
We want to create cool projects in our math class but materials are hard to come by. Our students are inner city kids that need financial support from the community.
We are a theater arts school in one of the largest populated cities in the United States.
My students are loud and proud! Most are Hispanic and almost all are eligible for free lunch. Family means everything to our kids yet most families are not able to provide the resources needed to enhance the learning environment.
My Project
The materials requested will provide our students with the means to create wonderful projects in their math class. Many students need to learn with their hands and eyes. The multicolored paper and assorted markers will allow them to bring out their creative side and achieve this goal.
Our students have a desire to create beautiful math projects.
Through these projects our kids are intrinsically motivated to produce beautiful work in all their endeavors. It would be a privilege and an honor for them to be able to use the materials that you so graciously donate. Thank you in advance!
