This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students have a diverse range of interests and reading abilities this year. I would like to create a library that allows all types of learners to find a book that interests them! Graphic novels allow for differentiation and helps students develop both their visual and written literacy. My hope is the connection between visuals and written literacy will improve comprehension. More so, I hope to promote excitement for my students which would encourage them to read all varieties of books. Graphic novels are very popular at my school and the books fly of the library shelves. This would provide the opportunity for my all my students to have access.
