My Students

My students are a reflection of our community. I teach in a school where 37% identify as white, 34% as Black, 11% Hispanic and 8% Asian; the remainder identify as mixed race or another race.

I teach in a one to one computer environment, which has proven to be good training for my students during this time of remote learning at home.

One of my student work tables in my classroom is falling apart. I would like to replace that table so my room is ready for a return to the classroom that both students and teachers so look forward to!

We serve a large group of students with diverse needs. Over 59% in poverty, and 2% of our students are homeless. 15% of our students are in Special Ed and near 7% are English Language Learners.

My Project

All teachers want the students to return to the classroom as soon as it's safe to do so. Please help me get my one to one computing space ready by helping me to secure a work table to replace a broken one in my room.

When my students return, I want to make sure that space is a safe and productive place.

As my students enter the space, they sit at tables rather than desks. This allows for more student collaboration. At each table, students work together learning how to be smart history investigators using technology and collaboration.
