As the seasons change our noses run. We need to continue to have a healthy environment blowing with tissues and cleaning the proper way.
I teach in a lovely CTT classroom with 2nd graders who are Second language learners as well as special needs children in a high poverty community.
Having low income makes it hard for my hard working families to provide basic supplies needed in the classroom. Coming to school daily is essential for achieving success so I would like to help my students with these needs.
My Project
My students need paper towels, tissues, #2 pencils, mechanical pencils and copy paper. In our CTT classroom we use many centers which requires wiping dry erase boards, sharing the writing area, and collaboratively work with manipulative's. In all these different centers anyone who is sick and sneezes, blows nose, coughs must use tissues and thoroughly clean hands to prevent spreading germs. This helps keep attendance up in the classroom which therefore helps the students grow in a structural environment.
Also, giving students personal mechanical pencil rewards those who are working hard and showing responsibility in the classroom. A pencil may seem minor to many, but in my classroom a mechanical pencil is the best golden incentive.
By donating cleaning supplies, paper towels, tissues, mechanical pencils, and #2 pencils, and copy paper to our classroom supplies will help the students to achieve.
By keeping germs away the students can come to school to learn each and everyday.
