This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
When I first started working in education 5 years ago in a Title I school, I didn't know so many of the students who I served would come to school with little to no school materials. Every year I have at least 2 students who come looking for school resources. That year my eyes opened and noticed the huge supply gap in my community. Over the years, while speaking to students I have noticed that they all have different reasons why they don't have school supplies. I ask that you please support me in helping them have a bright future. The supplies listed on my project will help during their hands-on activities like the scissor will help cut worksheet cut and past activities or during craft time, the turn-in your work organizer will keep their completed work organized in a specific area, and the craft jars will be used to keep classroom materials for them to use like erases, pencils, glue sticks. The name tags will be placed on their tables so that they know where they seat but also used as a reference anchor chart. The smelly stickers are a must! I will be using them in their journal reflection to keep encouraging them for their hard work. The TPT gift card will be used for resources to create workstations for reading, writing, and math centers. Thank you in advance for your support.
