My Students
Many children in my classroom need different tools to help them feel success. There are many apps that can be downloaded on the iPad that can help support students in achieving their learning goals each day in the classroom.
The students who I get to interact with on a daily basis are hands down the best students in the state of Pennsylvania.
Although these students live in the heart of a challenging city, they are extremely dedicated and hard working. They deserve the best and I would like to provide them with the best education they can receive! Our charter school is striving to be a technology driven school, preparing our students to be successful in all areas. However, with budget cuts, it is difficult to bring technology into every classroom. I would like to bring this iPad into my classroom to support learners at all levels.
My Project
Having technology in my classroom would be extremely beneficial to my students. There are so many apps that can be downloaded onto an iPad to support students with skills they are struggling with. Not only can the children gain support in areas they are having a difficult time with, they can also research topics at their desks! Students who are having a hard time with reading, can video tape themselves and listen to how fluently they are reading. We can use FaceTime to interact with students in other countries during our school's International Month. The list of things we can do with this tool is endless!!!
This would be an amazing tool and would allow students so many extra opportunities to not only gain knowledge in skills they struggle with but to learn how to use a great piece of technology!
By supporting this project you will be supporting every learner that walks though the doors of my classroom.
Not only will this resource help students in our room practice skills they struggle with, it will introduce them to children in different countries and classrooms with Facetime! The children in our school are not typically exposed to many things outside of our city, I want them to be able to access the world at their fingertips!
