The students in my classroom are all different and amazing. They come to kindergarten with such a curiosity and love of learning. Finding funding to supply classroom supplies can be hard because our school is not a Title I school.
Hands-on learning is the best way for kindergarteners to grasp the standards that we teach in kindergarten.
The Benjamin Franklin quote "Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn." is an everyday experience in my classroom.
My Project
I would love to bring the world of coding into my kindergarten classroom for my students. These Botley Coding Robots would allow more of my students to be able to explore the world of coding. Our 4th grade buddies would team up with our kindergarteners for this coding exploration.
This project would both teach my students teamwork and provide foundational coding skills.
It is important that my students gain this exposure, as coding is the basic language for the technology we use everyday. My students would benefit in so many areas from learning how to code, including math, science, and communication skills.
