Guess who works in the greatest school? Me!! My school is a 3K- 8th Grade School, so we are a family. This year I have moved from First Grade to Second Grade. I am so lucky to have many of my students for a second time.
My class has 26 students: all different backgrounds, languages and academic needs.
Each student is individual and unique.
In Second Grade, my students are curious and always ready for a challenge. They are having difficulty finding chapter books of interest that can build their reading stamina.
My Project
With these new, high-interest chapter books my students will be motivated to read independently and in groups, This will be a great introduction to book clubs and discussion groups. These books will be used to teach comprehension strategies. My students will become "close readers" and have meaningful conversations.
"We love to read!" This is what I want to hear from my students each and every day.
I want the parents to enjoy reading with their children and be proud of reading growth.
I hope this project interests you and you can help my students become life long readers and leaders. Thank You!!
